From its beginning, the Jesus movement was subversive. Allegiance to the Kingdom looks different in every generation, but it will always be countercultural. We are living in an age of distraction and loss of reality. Acknowledging God’s sovereignty in prayer is a revolutionary act of resistance in our current cultural moment.
